The file is yours
Each company is a single database file on your disk. Copy it, back it up, hand it to your accountant, keep it after you cancel. Nothing about your books depends on us staying in business.
It works offline
ACDO does not need the internet to open your books or post an entry. It checks your licence periodically and keeps working for 14 days if it cannot reach us.
One price, no tiers

Double-entry ledger
Every transaction balances or it does not post. Amounts are stored as exact cents, so no floating-point drift quietly bends your totals.
Invoices
Build an invoice, apply the right tax, and save it as a PDF to send. Posting it writes the entries to the ledger for you.
Bills and expenses
Enter what you owe suppliers, with tax allocated across lines, and keep payables where your accountant expects to find them.
Payments
Record money in and money out against the invoices and bills it settles, so balances move the moment you are paid.
GST/HST summary

Stays on your computer
Your company files, accounts, transactions, customers, vendors and every number in your books. We never receive them and have no way to read them.
Reaches our licence server
Your email address, your licence key, and a record of which devices activated it — with IP addresses shortened before they are stored. That is the whole list.
Worth knowing before you buy: because your books live in a file on your machine, keeping that file safe is your job. We recommend turning on BitLocker (or your own disk encryption) and keeping a backup somewhere other than the same computer. Read the privacy policy for the details.
Questions people ask first
Does ACDO file my taxes or my GST/HST return?
It totals your GST/HST for any period you pick, so the figures your return asks for are in front of you. It does not submit anything to the CRA on your behalf, and it does not prepare your income tax.
Is my data sent to the cloud?
No. Your books are stored on your computer. The only thing that travels over the internet is licence validation — your licence key and a device identifier. See the privacy policy.
What happens to my books if I stop paying?
The application stops opening after your subscription ends, but your company files stay on your disk exactly as they were. They are standard SQLite database files — you or your accountant can still read them with other tools, and resubscribing picks up where you left off.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
ACDO Solo activates on 1 computer at a time. If you replace your machine, deactivate the old one or contact support and we will move the activation for you.
Is there a Mac version?
Not today. ACDO is a Windows application. If a Mac version matters to you, tell us at support@acdo.app — that is how we decide what to build next.
Why does Windows warn me when I install it?
Because the installer is not code-signed yet. We explain exactly what the warning says, why it appears, and how to verify the file you downloaded on the download page.
